"Not every end is a goal. The end of a melody is
not its goal; but nonetheless, if the melody had not reached its end, it would
not have reached its goal."
As we enter the homestretch of 2011, let's think about our goals for the year. Hopefully they involved more than just getting through to the end of the year. Perhaps you were able to complete some projects, reach a specific target or accomplish something meaningful for yourself. If you reached your goal, congratulations!
But the goal isn't really the goal. The goal is a vehicle to propel yourself forward, but it's what you learn about yourself along the way that is the real prize. It's what leads you to ask, "What next?"
